Bridal Party – Civil Ceremony

Bride’s girls

Aarti Mistry – Maid of Honour

Aarti is Bhakti’s younger cousin on her Mom’s side. Even though she looks like she’s twelve, she has been there for Bhakti through the highs and lows. Bhakti can always count on Aarti (even though Aarti can not count) to make sure what she’s thinking makes sense and isn’t crazy. They’re both stubborn as stubborn can be and a bit crazy.

Rita Mistry – Bridesmaid

Rita is Bhakti’s older cousin on her Dad’s side. She has always been there to listen to Bhakti and offer her advice, whether it’s listened to or not. Rita used to live in England as well after she got married and has been a huge support for Bhakti during the move. Monday madness nights are always a blast and result in bottles popping and Bhakti getting driven home.

Bhavini (Bhavu) Mistry

Bhavu is also Bhakti’s older cousin on her Dad’s side. She and Bhakti always enjoyed meeting up for a “quick” coffee or a naughty lunch date with some food and drinks at a local restaurant. Catching up on the latest in both of our lives over some sangrias and dessert. Bhakti knows she can count on Bhavu if she needs to rant or vent (and vice versa) without judgment.

Groom’s men

Amar Arya – Best Man

Amar is Pritesh’s cousin’s son, but of the same age. With a very technical mind, he is able to build most things and recently worked on changing the brakes on a car together – something neither of them has done before. Amar is also a very good cook with a passion for food and a spice selection that puts most commercial places to shame. Recently they both cooked goat on the same day (in two different kitchens) which turned out awesome in both dishes.

Bridal Party – Indian Ceremony

Bride’s side

Aarti Mistry – Maid of Honour

Aarti will be beside Bhakti throughout the Indian ceremony. Aarti has a passion for Arts and has a creative touch – she can make almost anything look amazing. Whilst Pritesh & Bhakti have been working on logistics for the wedding from the UK, Aarti has held the fort in Canada.

Groom’s side

Kalpna Chauhan – Groomswoman

Pritesh’s sister. Kalpna is one of Pritesh’s elder sisters and will be beside him in the Indian ceremony. Kalpna used to help Pritesh with his homework when he was a lot younger and at school and Pritesh helps now when it comes to cars. Both used to travel extensively for work and would often meet at various coffee shops around the UK as they would frequently be working in the same city.
